My grandfather spent tens of thousands of dollars on life-insurance policies for his children. I called State Farm only to understand what needs to be done so my uncle’s burial wishes are protected if the worst happens. Instead, I was spoken to in a cold, suspicious, and accusatory tone, as though I were trying to take money for myself.

I am the person caring for my uncle and handling his medical and legal needs. I am level-headed, thoughtful, and careful about every decision I make. I am not responsible for how other relatives may have behaved, and I apologize for any past family conflict—but I deserve to be judged by my own conduct.

I was told to locate and email paperwork, then told that when i did find it, she still could not speak to me. The same information could have been given with basic kindness and clear guidance.

I will be escalating this to State Farm’s corporate office and customer relations department. Families dealing with medical emergencies deserve better than this. The Full story will be on my platforms with the largest following base so that I may share my story about her “advice” and her Choosing not to advise my grandpa to change himself from the policy owner so that this exact situation did not Happen. I personally think it’s a little bit convenient for them to have all those funds just sitting there without any ability to claim them because they know they have known for the last 1020 years that my family is not gonna agree on anything so that money is pretty much theirs now. And my grandpa would Feel so betrayed by this, not being prevented by somebody who has been advising him and us end up here. He just wanted to take care of his kids. Tens of thousand dollars later, nobody can see a cent. Thanks State Farm. This is an INTERNAL problem / flaw That I’m gonna see my best to try make sure it’s resolved Or at least publicized so that people are aware of what can happen about what did happen to my family. But thanks To the first person who transferred me to Gina, that was very polite and respectful she was very kind."
